Garry has 30 years experience as an adjuster. He began his career with Saskatchewan Government Insurance. He worked at various claims centers for 4 years before moving on to a private insurer as a road adjuster gaining experience in an assortment of areas. Moving to Vancouver he was employed by Morden & Helwig as a senior casualty adjuster until 1983 and then became a partner of Maxwell Cloutier Adjusters. Garry rejoined Morden & Helwig in 1986 as the BC casualty manager/branch manager until 1991 when he formed his own company, Daniels & Wong Claims Services Ltd. Garry became associated with Maxwell Claims Services in 1999.

Garry is a past president of The Canadian Independent Adjusters Association, and a member of good standing with the BCAA and the Insurance Institute of Canada. He is a member of the Association of Marine Underwriters of BC and of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also an (alternate) voting member of the Insurance Counsel.

Garry has given testimony in numerous occasions in the BC Supreme Court and is accepted by this court as an “expert witness” in the matter of claims investigation and evidence gathering. He has also given seminars on this topic for the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC.

For the past 15 years his career has focused on special investigations with a heavy emphasis on litigation claims as well as building envelope failure litigation (leaky condo cases) He is presently involved in several claims in this area in excess of 5 million dollars.

As a member of the association of Marine Underwriters of BC he has handled numerous suspicious/fraudulent commercial fishing boat and pleasure craft claims.
