Eldred is the principal adjuster in our Calgary office. Eldred started his insurance career in 1966 in Montreal, Quebec with the Yorkshire Insurance Co. Following a merger with the General Accident Insurance Eldred was offered the position of Supervisor with the Federation Insurance in 1972. He was appointed to the position of Claims Manager for Canada in 1976 and continued to lead the claims operation until 1984. The concentration of lines involved Ocean Marine Cargo, Commercial liability/Fire.

In 1985 he transferred to Toronto with the Continental Insurance and subsequently to the Edmonton Alberta Office as Manager/Executive General Adjuster. In this position Eldred handled all major fire/liability and transportation claims in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

In 1995 he moved into the field of independent adjuster accepting a position as senior adjuster/partner with Matthews Daniel International in Calgary handling major fire/liability and oil well related heavy equipment claims. He is the appointed adjuster for all Southern Alberta claims for Old Republic Insurance Co., North America’s leading transportation insurer as well as Canadian Freightways.

In November 2001 Eldred opened the office of Maxwell Claims Services Inc. in Calgary and concentrates in the adjustment of heavy equipment/cargo and major commercial fire, and liability claims in the western provinces. The office is the appointed adjuster for Canada Worldwide Insurance and handles fire/liability losses for the hotel industry.

Eldred holds a Level 3 Provincial Adjusters License and continually upgrades his knowledge in following industry sponsored courses and independent study.
